Part 2: When Can I Drive On My New Garage Floor? 

Light Vehicle Traffic (Drivability)

  • You can drive light passenger vehicles (cars, SUVs, light trucks) on the floor after 24–48 hours from the time the final slow-cure polyaspartic topcoat is applied.

  • Most homeowners safely park their daily drivers after 48 hours.


Full Heavy Vehicle Traffic

  • Wait 72 hours (3 full days) before driving heavier vehicles, trailers, or frequently moving cars in and out.

  • For best long-term durability, wait the full 5–7 days before subjecting the floor to frequent heavy use, such as commercial vehicles, loaded trailers, or frequent parking of multiple cars.


Important Guidelines

  • Avoid sharp turns, spinning tires, or sudden braking during the first 72 hours — this can leave marks while the coating is still curing.

  • Do not park vehicles with hot tires (after long drives) for extended periods during the first 48 hours.
